Frequently asked questions
Which server settings do I enter in Outlook (classic)?
Incoming mail with IMAP: imap.mailprotect.be, port 993, SSL/TLS. Incoming mail with POP3: pop3.mailprotect.be, port 995, SSL/TLS. Outgoing mail (SMTP): smtp-auth.mailprotect.be, port 587, STARTTLS; alternatively port 465 with SSL/TLS. The user name is always your full email address.
Can I also use POP3 in Outlook (classic)?
Yes. The guide for Outlook (classic) exists for IMAP and for POP3. We recommend IMAP, because your emails then look the same on all your devices.
Does my password change when I switch to the new servers?
No. You only change the server names and the user name. Your password stays the same and your emails are kept.
