Photoshop 2.5 printen op ImageWriter II?

Weet misschien iemand hoe ik met Photoshop een foto kan printen met mijn oude trouwe ImageWriter II?

Hier het antwoord van toen: Nee, dat is primair niet mogelijk. De ImageWriter II is geen PostScript printer. Photoshop is een PostScript programma, dus je hebt een PostScript printer nodig om met Photoshop te kunnen printen. Maar...

Er bestaat een PostScript vertaler waardoor het weer wél gaat, maar vermoedelijk héél erg langzaam:

T-Script
T-Script is software raster image processor. T-Script Basic allows users to output PostScript text and graphics from any Macintosh application. It drives a variety of non-PostScript printers, such as HP LaserJet, DeskJet, DeskWriter, PaintJet, LaserWriter SC, StyleWriter, Personal LaserWriter LS and ImageWriter, GCC PLP, Canon LBP and BubbleJet series. It supports TrueType, Adobe Type 1 and Type 3 fonts and 24-bit color.

The T-Script Basic application is Chooser accessible (under MultiFinder). It include PostScript LaserWriter-compatible fonts, PostScript editor and screen preview up to 600 dpi (gray scale and color), helpful in learning PostScript and previewing before printing. T-Script Basic is System 7 compatible.

In addition to the features of T-Script Basic, T-Script allows output from most any Macintosh application to be converted into high-resolution TIFF or PICT files. Users may request any resolution up to 300 dpi. This conversion support monochrome, gray-scale and color output TIFF files useful for sending via fax/modem and for modification in such programs as Adobe Photoshop.

The T-Script application works on an AppleTalk network and can function as a serve to other machines. T-Script also supports high-end color thermal printers, continuous tone dye sublimation printers and film recorders.

In addition to the features of T-Script, T-Script Deluxe allows output to be converted into very high-resolution TIFF or PICT files. Users may request any resolution up to 2400 dpi. This conversion supports monochrome, gray-scale and color output TIFF or PICT files useful for sending via fax/modem, for modification in such programs as Adobe Photoshop and for driving high-resolution imagesetters and film printers and a variety of customized applications. T-Script Deluxe can function as an offline raster image processor, reducing the amount of time the output device spends in processing the document and has the ability to batch process an unlimited number of PostScript files. T-Script Deluxe also features a multiple PostScript page preview mode.
