In a live TV-emission (RTBF-1) on August 23, 1996, Melissa's father Gino Russo and Marie-France Botte (Woman of the Year, known for her fight against pedophiles and child-prostitution) asked Belgian's Public Prosecutor Mr. M.Bourlet, (together with Mr.Connerotte responsable for investigations around the belgian child-sex-ring Case), the following question:

Will all the persons be prosecuted which are involved in the pedophile scene around the murdering of Julie and Melissa, even if mighty people appear to be involved?

His reaction was:

"Je vous assure, si on me laisse...."

Free translated, this means: 

"I assure you, if they will not stop me..."
However, a plate of spaghetti and a ball-point made Mr.Connerotte
(according to the Supreme Court of Belgium)
"unsuitable" to continue the investigations
and he became expelled from his job on October 14, 1996.
